Rajouri, Mar 21 (KNO): Auqaf Islamia on Saturday decided to avoid the large gatherings on the eve of Shab-e-Miraj (SAW) in wake of the outbreak of deadly coronavirus. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Dar Administrator Shahdra Sharief and Auqaf Islamia Rajouri in which large number of religious preachers also participated. The Auqaf decided that mass gatherings on Shab-e-Miraj-un-Nabi (SAW) in shrines and Masjids shall be avoided and the functions all over the district shall also remain suspended. Muslim community is advised and requested to pray at their respective places and avoid religious gatherings till the situation improves, Abdul Qayoom Dar said. Khateeb Markazi Jamia Masjid, Rajouri, Moulana Ghulam Rasool also appealed Muslim community to avoid mass gatherings till the situation improves. President Ahl-e-Sunnat-wal-jamaat, Moulana Farooq Naqasbandhi also appealed Muslims to fight war against Corona with strong conviction by keeping social distancing for few days. He also favored suspension of mass gatherings on the eve of Shab-e-Miraj and advised people to stay at their respective places – (KNO)
